Dominion, Not Domination: Remembering Our Sacred Authority

Reclaiming the Original Jurisdiction from Genesis 1:26–29

“And God said, Let us make man in our image, after our likeness: and let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over the cattle, and over all the earth, and over every creeping thing that creepeth upon the earth. So God created man in his own image, in the image of God created he him; male and female created he them. And God blessed them, and God said unto them, Be fruitful, and multiply, and replenish the earth, and subdue it: and have dominion...And God said, Behold, I have given you every herb bearing seed... and every tree, in the which is the fruit of a tree yielding seed; to you it shall be for meat.”Genesis 1:26–29

There is a line between dominion and domination—and somewhere along the way, humanity crossed it. In our PMA community, we return to Genesis 1:26–29 not as a historical artifact, but as a living jurisdictional claim. These verses outline not just creation—but commission. They reveal our nature, our responsibility, and our authority.

Made in the Image

This isn’t poetic metaphor. It’s divine fact.We were made in the image and likeness of the Creator—not by accident, but by design. To be made in the image is to be embedded with faculties of reason, will, creativity, and compassion. It’s not the appearance of God we carry—it’s the essence. That means our dignity is not granted by governments or institutions. It is inherent. It is unalienable. It is divine.

We were not created to be owned, managed, licensed, or tracked. We were created to breathe, build, steward, and serve. To be made in the image is not permission—it is jurisdiction.

Given Dominion

“Let them have dominion…”This command was never about conquering each other. It was about stewardship—over land, air, water, and life. Dominion is a call to caretaking, not to control. It’s about multiplying life, replenishing the earth, and ensuring that creation thrives under our watch.

But that call has been buried beneath bureaucracy, regulation, and fear. Dominion was never revoked—it was simply forgotten.

At yyc ROCKS – PMA, we remember.Dominion is our inheritance—not to hoard power, but to cultivate life.

Subdue, Not Suppress

“And subdue it…”This does not mean to dominate or destroy. In its original Hebrew, kabash means to bring into order—to cultivate and tame with care. To subdue the earth is to prepare the land to bear fruit, to create environments where life can thrive.

This was the first call to gardening, not governance. To tend the land. To grow in partnership with nature, not opposition to it.

The Seed is Ours

Genesis 1:29 makes it crystal clear:We have been given every herb bearing seed and every fruit tree yielding seed—for food, for nourishment, for life.

This isn’t metaphor. This is law.

That means:

  • Food is not a commodity.

  • Water is not a privilege.

  • Seed is not a patentable product.

In an age where governments restrict access to natural medicine, criminalize seed saving, and poison soil and water, our return to Genesis 1 is not rebellion—it is obedience.

We are not violating modern codes. We are honouring eternal law.

Why This Matters to Us

At yyc ROCKS – PMA, we aren’t fighting a system—we’re walking away from it.

We are not anti-anything. We are pro-living in the truest sense:

  • Pro-sovereignty.

  • Pro-wellness.

  • Pro-community.

We formed this Private Membership Association to protect what is sacred, to reconnect with those who remember, and to govern ourselves under God’s Law and Natural Law—not statutes and systems.

We don’t seek permission.

We operate from principle.

Your Invitation: Step Into Dominion

Let this be your reminder:

You were made in the image. You were given the breath. You were entrusted with the seed. You were called to take dominion.

Now is the time to remember who you are.

To grow. To gather. To govern.

Not by force—but by faith.
